[jira] [Commented] (ARROW-9982) IterableArrayLike should support map

Paul Taylor commented on ARROW-9982:
------------------------------------

Why not use [IxJS|https://github.com/ReactiveX/IxJS#iterable] or another similar library?

{code:javascript}
import { from } from 'ix/iterable';
import { map } from 'ix/iterable/operators';
from(arrowVec)
  .pipe(map((x) => x + 1))
  .forEach(console.log.bind(console))
{code}

> `table.toArray()` returns an `IterableArrayLike` and I would like to be able to `map` a function to it.
