[jira] [Created] (USERGRID-226) Real Websocket protocol implementation

Nate McCall created USERGRID-226:
------------------------------------

             Summary: Real Websocket protocol implementation
                 Key: USERGRID-226
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/USERGRID-226
             Project: Usergrid
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Stack
    Affects Versions: 1.0
            Reporter: Nate McCall

We have a websocket implementation currently, but it is highly experimental and has not been touched since shortly after inception.

Given this has come up recently on the mail list, I'm creating this issue as a place to capture what it would take to create a real implementation in usergrid.

One of the things mentioned in said mail list discussion was the concept of event subscriptions. I think we have most of the plumbing in place to do the heavy lifting as of "two-dot-o", so adding listeners may just be a new top of top-level entity?
