DO NOT REPLY [Bug 51573] New: Easy way to erase log files
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=51573
Bug #: 51573
Summary: Easy way to erase log files
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.2.17
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Core
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: martpers01@student.kau.se
Classification: Unclassified
How come there is not a command to easily delete the big growing access log
files?
To restart my server I type "sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart" I think there
should be an identical command for resetting/deleting the log files, something
like "sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 resetlog" or "sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
-resetlog"
