There seem to be some demand in big-endian support:
   - https://github.com/apache/arrow-rs/issues/10026

We merge the fixes when someone finds them so we could say -- arrow-rs supports big endian on a best effort basis.

I would consider closing old big-endian related issues as not planned:
   - https://github.com/apache/arrow-rs/issues/121
   - https://github.com/apache/arrow-rs/issues/122
   - this issue

If anyone needs big-endian support for something they can file an issue.
