case sensitive repository names
Within Subversion is the name of the repository case sensitive? If so is it 'core' Subversion functionality or the authorization module? The reason I ask is we have recently provided our developers with a centrally administered instance. This is 1.5.1 under Windows using Atlassian Crowd for authentication/authorization. In this situation it appears to be. The *NIX guys are happy (just how it was before on their local install) but the Windows guys are not (their windows install appears to be case insensitive).

For the authorization layer yes. But for Windows filesystem no.
This causes problems when the user access the repository using the wrong case.
Worst than that. When the repository is accessible to everyone to
read, but is constrained to write by authz rules the users can
checkout, but can´t commit. This behavior is very confusing to users.
