Cnt display arabic with XML/HTML

when i put arabic unicode characters into an XML file (in order to
generate on the fly HTML files) i have a parsing exception.
I use cocoon 1.82 with tomcat 3.23 version under LINUX.
I am trying to install cocoon2.
Can some body help me?
