[jira] [Created] (KARAF-736) parse a "~/.karafrc" type file on startup of the shell so users can define aliases in one place which work with any karaf installation

parse a "~/.karafrc" type file on startup of the shell so users can define aliases in one place which work with any karaf installation
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: KARAF-736
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KARAF-736
             Project: Karaf
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: james strachan
            Priority: Minor

Rather than tinkering with karaf/etc/shell.init.script it'd be good if we could add customisations into a file in the user home directory. Then if you upgrade karaf you don't have to tinker with the distro

      Component/s: karaf-core
    Fix Version/s: 3.0.0

It's a very good idea James. You already have the $HOME/.karaf folder containing the history. We can add a new file in the $HOME/.karaf folder to customization shared between all Karaf instances.
