[ALC] ALC Indore Event (October 2020)
Hello everyone,
The ALC [1] Indore Chapter [2] is planning to organize a webinar on 'Open
Source & The Apache Way: through a contributor's lens' in collaboration
with Bangalore Java User Group (JUG)[4] on 31st October 2020, Saturday.
As per ALC Event guidelines [3], we would like to request PMC approval for
this upcoming ALC Indore Event.
In the session we will be covering the following topics:
# Open Source
-- Open-Source
-- History
-- Open-Source license
-- Why one should contribute to Open Source?
-- How can one contribute?
# OpenSource Opportunities
-- Internships
-- Jobs
# The Apache Way
-- About the Apache Software Foundation

Hello All,
The ALC Indore Chapter successfully organized the webinar on 'Open Source &
The Apache Way: through a contributor's lens' in collaboration with
Bangalore Java User Group (JUG) on 31st October 2020, Saturday.
We are pleased to share that an overwhelming number of *70+ attendees*
including students and professionals appeared for the event.
We conducted the webinar via Zoom and got registrations for the event
beforehand via Meetup[1].
The session duration was about 1 hour followed by a productive Q & A of
another 1 hour.
Overall it was an amazing experience for all of us and the event was a huge
success.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the event and helped us conduct it
smoothly.
