[jira] [Created] (KARAF-758) Remote instance hostKey value needs explanation in Users Manual

Remote instance hostKey value needs explanation in Users Manual
---------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: KARAF-758
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KARAF-758
             Project: Karaf
          Issue Type: Wish
          Components: karaf-documentation
            Reporter: Glen Mazza
            Priority: Minor

The "hostKey" value is listed on the "Using remote instances" page (http://karaf.apache.org/manual/2.2.2/users-guide/remote-console.html) but its purpose/usage is not explained.

Good things to know are:

1.) What is the hostKey value for?

2.) What must the file point to--a .JKS key/truststore, or .P12 (PKCS #12) key/keystore?

3.) What is it to be populated with? (The key of the server, or public keys of clients allowed to access it, or both?)

4.) Is this hostKey value required for remote connectivity? If not, what happens if it is not included, left blank, (possibly also, if the file pointing to it does not exist)?
