file perms tracking with subversion

Hi all,

are there tools that would allow keeping a directory tree
under subversion control, including file permissions (owner,
group, and perm bits)?  (This is for UNIX.)

i've needed this enough times by now that i'll have to write
it, but hopefully this is just a case of Google failing me.
