Theoretically this might cause a problem, but no one here has ever seen any issue. AI Michael ask the submitter to propose a patch.
2. JDO-779 "Migrate JDO Homepage / Online Documentation" https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-779
AI Craig post some updates from email to the JIRA.
Need to agree on a web format: menu along the top that is present on all pages, and table of contents on left on detail pages. And include the mandatory Apache links (to Apache home page, ApacheCon etc.)

New process for merge from branch into master:
Make a new branch for changes. e.g. branch jdo-652
Work on the branch perhaps multiple commits.
Squash multiple commits in the branch if needed.
Merge into master once changes are approved. Commits appear in master exactly as in the branch.
Keep working on the branch.
Rinse, repeat.
