reusing fop Driver

Hi,

i am using the latest version(16) of fop. When i try
to
use the same Driver, the second time it fails with 
the following exception:

building formatting object tree
org.apache.fop.apps.FOPException
	at
org.apache.fop.apps.Driver.buildFOTree(Driver.java:305)

How can i reuse the same driver for rendering several
documents? (Note: i do set the driver to a different
Writer/OutputStream each time). Creating a driver each
time and setting the properties/mappings is killng the
performance. Any help is appreciated.
