Hive .012 works with CDH 4.2.0

Hi All,

We have installed CDH4.2.0 and hive-0.10.0-cdh4.2.0. Both are working as desired.

Now we want to replace hive-0.10.0-cdh4.2.0 with apache hive 0.12. Will this combination works?

Thanks & Regards,
Rinku Garg - Global Commercial Services

No, they aren't tested together and we suggested not replace the packages
as there is chance that you might corrupt your hive metastore data and this
makes existing hive unusable.

You might want to upgrade to CDH 5 beta that includes many of the back
ports from apache-hive-0.12. What specific features in hive-0.12 are you
looking for?
