Flex June Report
Hi folks.
We don’t have to post to the incubator status this month, but here’s a quick rundown of where I think we are.
1. Adobe finally sent a trademark license proposal to Apache for review. I have no idea how long it will take to finalize, but at least we finally have some actual words to discuss.
2. A donation of the automation code, sample themes, and a few odds and ends is awaiting VP signature.
3. We are still scrubbing the rest of the mustella tests. I keep hoping were on the last pass, but we keep finding other stuff that needs clean up. I think we still need a week or two and then we have to go through the legal review and get VP signature
4. We are hopefully in the final steps to getting the packaging finalized for a release. We are currently wrestling with the output from RAT which is telling us which files still don’t have correct licensing from an Apache perspective.
Meanwhile, many thanks to Om, Justin, Tomasz for working on the AIR re-packager for FB and other IDEs. And thanks to Christophe Herreman for his help on the release packaging. Congratulations on becoming a committer.
And finally, we have the sad news about Doug Arthur, who was such a warm, helpful and welcoming volunteer at 360Flex. He will be missed.

Alex,
You missed Tink and Roland on the air re-packager work.
Thanks,

Yes, it's May, sorry, fixed that now.
You can see the text that I removed at http://s.apache.org/gB1 - sorry
I didn't notice that you had phrased it as "things haven't changed
yet", I thought it was just a repeat of last month's questions.
However, I think your questions about decentralized infrastructure
belong to infrastructure@apache.org instead of the board report - IMO
those things should be discussed with the infra team first, who can
(mostly, depending on budget) decide by themselves how to best handle
our project's infrastructure.
Would you agree to move those questions to that list?

Hi,

JFYI As well are running out of disk space the single windows slave and been out of action for 3-4 times for a few days each. It's currently offline.
I've also been unable to get the checkin tests to work (it related to machine/Jenkins setup) but that's another issue I guess.
Thanks,
Justin

Hi Bertrand,
It looks like you removed my monthly plea for decentralized infrastructure.
I had added that the CI server ran out of disk space during the month;
another reason decentralization would help. It looks like you replaced that
text with a reference to a June 2012 report. Did you mean May?
Also, it wasn't clear whether this month's report should include the news
about JIRA given it happened many days after a June report should have been
committed.

I have edited the report at http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/June2012
to account for progress on INFRA-4380 and to avoid redundancies with
the previous report - can you cross-check? Wiki diffs provide the
details. Feel free to discuss anything, I don't mean to impose my view
as a mentor but it looks like that issue is fixed or at least on a
very good way to being fixed so IMO the report should reflect that.

OK, report posted to incubator wiki. I did not report on Adobe issues like
what donations are in progress as it seems like the report should focus on
what has actually happened, not what Adobe is promising to do.

I think there was one out of sequence. I do see movement. I'm actually interested in the approach to generating static pages from an existing set of JIRA issues. I must admit that my reasons are entirely selfish.
Anyway the Board meeting is slightly more than a week away and the IPMC is actively reviewing podling reports.

report is due indeed, at http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/June2012
