[jira] [Created] (SOLR-13342) Remove dom4j fromj Solr

Erick Erickson created SOLR-13342:
-------------------------------------

             Summary: Remove dom4j fromj Solr
                 Key: SOLR-13342
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-13342
             Project: Solr
          Issue Type: Improvement
Security Level: Public (Default Security Level. Issues are Public)
            Reporter: Erick Erickson
            Assignee: Erick Erickson

dom4j is used in exactly one file in Solr, and it's a test:  AddBlockUpdateTest

It seems like overkill to bloat the distro with that jar for one test, can we change the test to use something else and remove dom4j from our distro?

Assigning to myself to track, but if anyone has the bandwidth, _please_ take it away ;)

IDK whether there are transitive dependencies though.
