Requesting Clarification on GSoC 2017 - "VXQUERY-180" Selections

Hi All,

I have been selected for the Apache GSoC project - [VXQuery-180] RESTful
API. Thanks Preston, Steven and every other member who helped me to improve
my proposal and get selected.

When I go through the selected student list, I saw that another student has
also been selected for this same project. I was wondering why that
happened. It will be great if someone can enlighten me on this.

confirmed, I will start looking deeper into the project.

Congratulations! Thank you for pointing this out. The mentor who accepted
the other proposal isn't part of our organization, so I'm not sure exactly
what happened. We will contact GSOC to find out. Rest assured, we have
accepted you for this project!
