ActiveMQ LDAPDIscovery Setup

Hi,
I'm trying to setup a discovery of the network of brokers using LDAP v5.10.1
as described at
http://activemq.apache.org/ldap-broker-discovery-mechanism.html

Does anybody have it working and with what versions of ActiveMQ and LDAP
server - or knows of a working combo?

The page lists 2 compatible LDAP server implementations: OpenLDAP and
ApacheDS.

OpenLDAP seems to be dead - its last version came out almost 5 years ago and
it seems to work only with JDK 1.5 (doesn't come up with JDKs 7 and 8).

ApachedDS seems to include only a portion of required RFC2307 in its latest
version (2.0.0_M19)
