Summary: Allow logging additional fields to database
           Product: Commons
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Logging
        AssignedTo: commons-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: fsweng@bass.com.my

Instead of current only allow log.info(String message, Throwable t) being
logged. I'm wondering can we have new feature to allow logging additional fields
data i.e. user id, log timestamp, activity done etc via commons-logging<-->log4j
to database for audit log trail purposes?
