> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-3986
> Project: Hadoop Map/Reduce
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 0.23.0
> Reporter: Bikas Saha
> Assignee: Bikas Saha
>
> When TaskImpl transitions to SUCCEEDED then it kills the other running task attempts. In the SUCCEEDED state the TaskImpl state machine ignores T_ATTEMPT_KILLED events from those killed attempts. Hence those completions events are not reported to the job. Every other attempt completion event is reported to the job.
