I wasn't sure where in this thread to reply so I'm replying to myself :)

What search appliances exist now?

I only found 3:

	[2] Thunderstone

Also, out of curiosity, do people have appliance h/w vendors they like?

These guys seem like they have nice options for pretty colors:
