[jira] [Created] (SPARK-16399) Set PYSPARK_PYTHON to point to
"python" instead of "python2.7"
Manoj Kumar created SPARK-16399:
-----------------------------------
Summary: Set PYSPARK_PYTHON to point to "python" instead of "python2.7"
Key: SPARK-16399
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-16399
Project: Spark
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: PySpark
Reporter: Manoj Kumar
Priority: Minor
Right now, ./bin/pyspark forces "PYSPARK_PYTHON" to be "python2.7" even though higher versions of Python seem to be installed.
It should be better to force "PYSPARK_PYTHON" to python instead.
