Where do I get it? Did I miss it in CVS?

The CVS repository is
jakarta-avalon-excalibur/assembly
The isn't a nightly build zip because its still in pre-release stage.

I got the nightly build zip file. Is it available via straight CVS at
the moment? I tried Jakarta-avalon-excalibur and jakara-avalon and
didn't see it in there.
