   I disagree with @hboutemy . It's not because something can't be made to work in 100% of the cases from day 1, that the vast number of cases where it does work should be discarded.
   
   Or to put it differently: this PR in no way degrades the current experience. It improves it for a vast number of scenarios, just not all of them (for now).
   
   +1 for this PR.
