do the speakers have to register / is there a discount code for
speakers?

agreement. :)

yep. But for ACon US e.g., you'd still have to register. You just got
your fees reduced to zero.

no, you don't need to register. See page 3 on the speaker agreement you
signed under "Payment": "5. waive Speaker's conference registration fee".
