compiled stylesheet cache code?

someone had written in a while back saying they had written a patch for
cocoon that cached xalan's StylesheetRoot objects and reused them instead
of just the Documents. I could _really_ use that patch since I'm getting
random errors parsing valid XSLT stylesheets using the latest xalan. Can
the culprit please email me the patch? I won't include it in cocoon yet if
you're not comfortable with it, but I'd like to try it myself.
