   @rnewson writes in 2012:
   
   Databases have a fixed position in the URL (//) but share it
   with many other items (/_log, /_replicate, etc). Fix this by
   introducing an exclusive namespace for dbs (e.g, /_db/)
   
   I am guessing it's too late to implement this, so someone should add the wontfix tag, but wanted to get this here for posterity.
