Currently netbeans supports a few tools like e.g. codesniffer.

Starting with php 7, a tool called phan was developed which helps to avoid many coding errors and incompatibilities on classes and not matching types.

It would be great if this tool is integrated. If this is used in daemon mode, errors can be found instantly:
