[jira] Commented: (UIMA-129) $main_root replacement does not work for components of a merged pear file.

Lev Kozakov commented on UIMA-129:
----------------------------------

The generated aggregate installation descriptor includes special instructions (<ACTION>find_and_replace_path</ACTION>) for the PEAR Installer to apply $main_root replacement in certain files of the delegate AEs. When a merged PEAR is installed, all $main_root 'macros' are replaced according to the instructions in the generated installation descriptor of the merged PEAR.

> When having a merged pear file, it has the following directory structure
> desc
> pear1/desc
> pear2/desc
> the $main_root replacement is only done in the root desc folder but not in pear1/desc or pear2/desc folder. So a merged pear file is not installed correctly
> if one of the components (pear1 or pear2) need a $main_root replacement.
