David Sean Taylor resolved JS2-618.

    Resolution: Fixed

patch applied
everything built with Maven-1, and Maven-2
everything tested with Maven-1, and Maven-2, all passing 
deployed with Maven-1, Maven-2, seems to work (ahem)
uncovered a lot of issues when deploying and testing
fixed broken tests in Maven-2
