There was similar discussion long time ago - http://markmail.org/message/g7no5d67ccsuo5w6 - HAMA-535 reporter seems had a strong negative opinion (At that time, I heard many ideas related In-Memory MapReduce, such as Spark). 

However, I don't want to implement a MapReduce framework on top of Hama. My goal is make run a MapReduce job in Hama. In fact, this is exactly what Spark did and this is why it got attention.
