   Yes, this paragraph is very much out-of-date, but we should go farther in fixing it. In particular, this sentence is too strongly worded, because it assumes that the heap-based state backends can't do asynchronous snapshotting. 
   
       If you are sure that your state will never exceed main memory 
       and blocking the stream processing to write it is not an issue, 
       you **could consider** to not use the RocksDB backends.
