[GitHub] [jmeter] xerces8 opened a new issue, #5776: "Error Renaming File or Folder" while saving

xerces8 opened a new issue, #5776:
URL: https://github.com/apache/jmeter/issues/5776

   ### Expected behavior

   No error happens.

   ### Actual behavior

In the save dialog, when selecting the folder to save, by doubleclick, this dialog is shown:

   -------------------------
   Error Renaming File or Folder

Cannot rename fZOO: A file with the name you specified already exists. Specify a different file name.

   OK
   --------------------------

There is folder named fZOO (name changed for this report from the real name, it begins with a lowercase letter followed by 3 upper case, all basic ASCII) in the same parent folder as the folder I want to save in.

Actually there are two such dialogs, one covering the other. The upper is a modal dialog to the second (if I move the upper away and click on the second, the first will blink). Actually there are more of them, like 5 (didn't count). I noticed the other after I clicked OK on the first two.

   ### Steps to reproduce the problem

   Start JMeter 5.5

   Create new plan from template

Change name and comment for the Plan object

   ctr+s to save

   ### JMeter Version

   5.5

   ### Java Version

   Oracle 11.0.13

   ### OS Version

Microsoft Windows 10 Pro [Version 10.0.19044.2251]

Did not encounter error. After performing action Ctrl+S, JMeter opened the dailog box where file is stored by default, in my case, Temp folder in Windows. Saved the file successfully.

Note: after clicking the dialogs away (on the OK button), I could continue and save the project

Can't reproduce this under Linux (Ubuntu 22.04).

Can you try to explain in more detail, what you meant by "In the save dialog, when selecting the folder to save, by doubleclick"?
Which folders where shown, which did you select?
