List of committers?

I can't find a list of the active gump committers. I don't think one is
maintained. I started looking because the incubation checklist wants a
list of active committers. The gump community seems to be a bit of a
different flavor. Being about integration and having no cvs barrier, the
concept of committer seems more vague. (I really fail to see anything
wrong with that :D)

If we were to define "active developer" as both participating in
discussion on the mailing list and modifying things in CVS more-or-less
consistently over the last 3 months, the list seems to be*:

Adam Jack
Antoine Lévy-Lambert
Davanum Srinivas
Nick Chalko
Leo Simons
Stefan Bodewig

There's quite a few people who are not committing much to cvs in the
last few months, but have in the less recent past, or are consistently
participating in discussion, or, well, you-know, stand out as being
vocal, or just doing lots of commits. Like*

Andrew Oliver
Berin Loritsch
Bill Barker
dIon Gillard
Nicola Ken Barozzi
Peter Donald
Sam Ruby
Sebastian Bazley
Stefano Mazzocchi
Vincent Massol

And then there's a really big list of people (roughly two dozen*, all
not in the lists above) who are maintaining gump descriptors for the
projects they participate in.

Whom of these people are committers; whom are active? Does it even matter?

In the archives, I found votes for committership of only a few of these
people, namely, the ones that weren't an apache committer elsewhere
before joining gump:

Adam Jack
Nick Chalko

Quite a few people were voted in as committers for alexandria, according
to the archives:

Josh Lucas
Vincent Massol
Larry Isaacs
Bob Herman
Costin Monalanche
Christopher Lenz
Martin Poesl
Jason van Zyl
Peter Donald
Stefan Bodewig
Conner MacNeill
Nicola Ken Barozzi
Martin van den Bemt

* I did a few `grep`s and `cat`s and similar on my local mbox archive to
get these lists (with some manual parsing and editing added), so they're
statistical, hence (disclaimer!) lies :D

Was running Gump for a while until the box crashed on me.. Was voted in
for some fixing of repository things and adding the LocalCheck.. (it was
an horror to find out after 10 hours of building you were missing a
local dependency..)
Still actively monitoring the list and when I get to it, will start
running and playing with gump again..

I have written a good part of the initial Python implementation of Gump
(before Adam's refactoring) and consider myself active, at least AFA
discussion is concerned.

Hence please consider me in the list of PMCers.

As for the chair, I'm currently the Incubator Chair, so I consider
myself automatically out of the list.

Given the last comments, my preferences are, in order, for

  *Sam
  *Stefan

You can use Agora to find out who is active (those in the middle) :-)

nah, its the hasty manual editing. I think I combined scott sanders into
sam or somethin' (I folded Stefano into Stefan but found that out
later). I am sure to have missed more peeps. Sorry 8-)

point being was, there is no list, and the lists that exist or can be
generated don't reflect reality :D

Your script needs a bit of work, because I still consider myself an
active member of the gump dev community :)
