[jira] [Resolved] (INFRA-7104) Contributors report broke after JIRA upgrade

Mark Thomas resolved INFRA-7104.
--------------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix

Given that the project relies on the contributors plug-in I find it strange that it has taken over 18 months for the project to notice that the contributors plug-in isn't available.

The contributors plug-in was not compatible with Jira 5.0 and higher. The ASF Jira instance was upgraded to Jira 5 on 14 May 2012 and the plug-in was removed at the same time. The plug-in is no longer supported so it appears unlikely that it will ever be re-added to the ASF Jira instance.

Should a version of that plug-in be made available that works with the ASF's current Jira version then I'll happily install it.

> We rely on the "Contributors" report in JIRA. This report lists all the people who have contributed (opened a JIRA ticket) to the project.
> After the upgrade, the report doesn't work anymore. The page now throws null pointer exception - https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ConfigureReport.jspa?atl_token=888af46eb9686dcb98b6e5c7489395dfb195f02c&versionId=-1&issueStatus=closed&selectedProjectId=12311030&reportKey=com.sourcelabs.jira.plugin.report.contributions%3Acontributionreport&Next=Next
> It looks like the problem might be missing "com.sourcelabs.jira.plugin.report.contributions" plugin.
> If that is indeed the case, can someone please add this plugin back?
