'datasrc' tag

I noticed the 'datasrc' tag in a number of "x:" components (such as
x:inputText, x:panelTabbedPane etc), and like to use it if possible. But
could not find how they are used in the myfaces-1.0.8 src. Any
suggestions or samples?
