We need to create the following directory on HDFS /system/yarn/node-labels, with permissions set to rw for the yarn RM.
Once this install change is done, the following key should be added to yarn-site.xml at ambari-server/src/main/resources/stacks/HDP/2.2/services/YARN/configuration:
