tomcat4 config.

I'm at a loss at how to configure this Server.  I just need a couple of 
pointers to steer me right and unfortunately they're some of what I think 
are the obvious ones.....

I'm using Apache 1.3.23 (linux) and Tomcat 4.03 and I'm confused.


Where do I set the JAVA_HOME and the CATALINA_BASE?


Any information would be useful. I'm hoping that this will start me on the 
right path on getting this running.  It seems so simple, but I'm missing 
that OBVIOUS first step.
