Data Replication Between Ignite Clusters Through Kafka

Hi,

I am referring the below link to create data replication between two
clusters using kafka.
https://dzone.com/articles/real-time-data-replication-between-ignite-clusters

I started two clusters and started kafka/zeekeeper service and created a
topic - test2

But once I start to connect, I get some crash and error as shown in attached
file.
kafka-crash.txt
<http://apache-ignite-users.70518.x6.nabble.com/file/t2211/kafka-crash.txt>

./bin/connect-standalone.sh ./config/connect-standalone.properties
./config/ignite-connector-source.properties

After this I dont see a 'node' getting connected to ignite DB.

I think this crash is causing the issue. How to check that the kafka is
connected properly to ignite? How to resolve this crash.

Thanks,
Prashant

Hi Prashant

Exactly when are you getting the error you have attached, are you getting
this error while starting the kafka stand alone connector

I guess you may have to do the below

Copy the following files from the $IGNITE_HOME/optional/ignite-kafka
directory to $KAFKA_-
HOME/libs directory. $KAFKA_HOME/libs directory is the Kafka classpath
directory.
Listing 8.9
ignite-kafka-2.6.0.jar
kafka_2.11-0.10.0.1.jar
connect-api-0.10.0.1.jar

Also, copy the Ignite-Spring related files from the
$IGNITE_HOME/libs/ignite-spring directory into
the Kafka classpath directory $KAFKA_HOME/libs.

Thanks
Naveen

Hello,

Well, you have java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
org/apache/ignite/internal/util/typedef/internal/A as a cause, my guess is
that you have different versions of Ignite at compile time and runtime.
Could you please verify your dependencies in project or share it?

Regards,

Hi,

Can anyone suggest me know how to achieve the data replication across
clusters for ignite? What needs to be corrected to make it work as mentioned
in previous post.

Thanks,
Prashant
