Summary: <junit> ignores my <classpath>
Product: Ant
Version: 1.6.5
Platform: All
OS/Version: Windows XP
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Core
AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
ReportedBy: viv_2300@yahoo.com
I have a build.xml file. I want to run some junit test cases in that. But
<junit> ignores my <classpath>. I am using ant 1.6.5. I have the following
link
http://ant.apache.org/faq.html#delegating-classloader
But none of the solutions gives me my solution. Actually I am running ant in
an environment. So I can not:
1) Run ant as ant -lib ..... as my build file is implicitly invoked.
2) I can not put all external libraries I need in ANT_HOME and also therefore
can not keep junit.jar in ANT_HOME .
3) I can not set classpath as including junit.jar since I am in an
environment. Actually I tried setting that also, but it does not work.
All I can do is to modify my build.xml. So as this page suggests I modified it
as follows:
<taskdef name="junit"
classname="org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.optional.junit.JUnitTask">
<classpath>
<pathelement location="HOME-OF/junit/junit.jar"/>
<pathelement location="HOME-OF/ant-junit.jar"/>
</classpath>
</taskdef>
But this also does not work. I complains with the following:
A class needed by class org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.optional.junit.JUnitTask
cannot be found: junit/framework/Test
Is there a solution for me?
