October 2006 Board Report

Any objections to the following board report for this month?

The HiveMind team is working on the architecture for HiveMind 2.0.

The HiveMind TLP move is still in progress. We still need the

website's directory and the HiveMind unix group created. Jim Jagielski
graciously volunteered to help us finalize the TLP move, but we seem to have
run into some SPAM filter problems (my emails aren't making it to him
reliably).

We are also in the process of cutting a 1.1.2 release.

James Carman, on behalf of the HiveMind PMC

Sorry for the lack of reply - I've been with family after ApacheCon. I
just went ahead and made the Jakarta and Apache site changes. There's
a 2-hourly sync from people.apache.org to the production webserver, so
that accounts for the delay you saw.

Well, it looks like the site is up there now. It appears as if everything
is complete, correct? We should probably ask the Jakarta community to
remove the link to HiveMind (or I can do it myself in SVN I think).

Well, I copied the website stuff over from /www/jakarta.apache.org/hivemind
to /www/hivemind.apache.org on people.apache.org. I guess that gets
mirrored somewhere else, because it didn't show up in my browser immediately
when I did that.

Both have existed for a while:

hivemind:*:5540:jcarman,ahuegen,hlship,harishkswamy,knut

and

drwxrwxr-x 2 root hivemind 512 Jul 5 05:08 /www/hivemind.apache.org/

so I guess the problem was in the feedback loop to understand that.

So possibly something that could be done and dusted before the board
meeting? (week on Wednesday).

Both have existed for a while:

hivemind:*:5540:jcarman,ahuegen,hlship,harishkswamy,knut

drwxrwxr-x 2 root hivemind 512 Jul 5 05:08 /www/hivemind.apache.org/
