   discussed offline, and one benefit to this method is uniform cmake version. my [prototype](https://github.com/apache/tvm/blob/areusch/freeze-dependencies/docker/install/ubuntu_install_core.sh#L61) does have the disadvantage of installing different cmake versions on different platforms; that might be more interesting if they were also the default version of cmake installed via `apt-get`, but since we're using the ppa, we don't gain too much from this difference.
