[jira] Created: (OFBIZ-43) Add user agent sniffing for features on links

Add user agent sniffing for features on links
---------------------------------------------

         Key: OFBIZ-43
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OFBIZ-43
Project: The Open For Business Project
        Type: Improvement

    Versions: SVN trunk
    Reporter: BJ Freeman
    Priority: Minor

I understand from my customer, that uses a mac, that they can use RTclick open new window.
this is really nice to have when reviewing communication.
that way you can keep the list but view the emails.

so buy using a user agent to determine if a mac, a link can be modified to open a new window with target=_blank in the URL.

This should be selectable and/or programable, since most links should not operate this way.

David E. Jones commented on OFBIZ-43:
-------------------------------------

I don't know what they might be talking about. On a Mac you can right click to open in a new window, or in a new tab if they are using a recent version of Safari or Firefox. Even if they don't have a 2/3 button mouse they can use <ctrl>-click to simulate a right button.

Either way, I don't see the point of this or where it would even go. Are you saying change every single FTL file to do this? Or perhaps just do it in the screen/form/tree/menu widgets? Either way I don't really see the point. That is a browser feature used when the user wants it, not for the server side application.
