DEEPEN, DepNeg

Hello,

I am reading about different forms of negation detection, and I was
wondering, in particular, if elements of DEEPEN or DepNeg have been
incorporated into the negation module for cTAKES.

We use the dependency paths from the DepNeg paper as features in the negation module. I have read the DEEPEN paper but I believe it was rule-based? And I wasn't sure how to incorporate into a machine learning model. I'd be happy to take suggestions and retrain!
