[M2] Example configuration for mailing build errors

Hi,

I am not able to find a Maven 2 example on how to catch build errors and send them via email as notification.  It would be great if someone who has set this up could share the settings.

I don't believe this is functionality currently available in Maven
core, nor in any plugins.

This sounds like a feature you'd expect in a Continuous Integration
server, like Continuum or CruiseControl. Take a look at those products
instead.
