[jira] [Commented] (MESOS-5865) MESOS_DIRECTORY is not set in the docker containerizer

Jie Yu commented on MESOS-5865:
-------------------------------

yep, the goal is to have MESOS_SANDBOX as the only env, independent of containerizer. It is already the case. We'll improve documentation.

> I'm running Spark with the docker containerizer. It sets MESOS_SANDBOX, but not MESOS_DIRECTORY. The docs indicate that MESOS_DIRECTORY should be set: https://github.com/apache/mesos/blob/2127376b8e092684312ec9843173b532df931d20/docs/executor-http-api.md#executor-environment-variables
> It would be preferable for there to be just one env var containing the sandbox location, independent of containerizer
