XBaya: Stuck without a Tutorial and Resources to experiment
Hi all,
I'm a curious developer that was introduced to XBaya by Dr. Srinath. I
wanted to try it out but I tend to get stuck I try to run XBaya in order to
experiment with the tool.
>From the links I found, http://www.collab-ogce.org/ogce/index.php/XBaya seem
to have some details but the sample files seem to be missing. In
http://www.extreme.indiana.edu/xgws/xbaya/compose-workflows.html, some of
the UI items showing the tree components seem to be missing in the new
version (node with htttp://whitney.extreme.indiana.edu...) and therefore, it
its unable for me to go ahead. I tried going to ex: configure an xregistry,
but it asks for credentials in teragrid which I don't have. I tried to get
register and it forwarded me to https://portal.xsede.org/. I tried the
username/passwords that I got from it but it failed.
Is there some kind of a tutorial for xbaya with test credential that I can
see and use to experiment? It would be a great help if you can provide this.
Thank you,
Regards

Hi Guntih,
Instead of the registry you can mount a file system folder as well (without
credentials). Basically, copy the WSDLs for services you want to invoke from
workflow to the folder, compose using them and run using Jython. It should
work I believe.

Hello Gunith,
Thanks for your interest in XBaya. We are getting ready for our release 0.1 in Airavata and things are changing rapidly. We are in the process of replacing XRegistry with a generic repository API called JCR and apache jackrabbit repository implementation. We are also working on documentation which will help out you trying samples. Until then, please try service samples from [1] and tests [2] within XBaya source checkout [3]
Cheers,
Suresh
