[jira] [Created] (IMPALA-13714) Highlight slow Instances on the query timeline in webUI
Surya Hebbar created IMPALA-13714:
-------------------------------------
Summary: Highlight slow Instances on the query timeline in webUI
Key: IMPALA-13714
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IMPALA-13714
Project: IMPALA
Issue Type: New Feature
Reporter: Surya Hebbar
Assignee: Surya Hebbar
Across aggregated plan nodes' event sequences, while producing the JSON form for a particular query, it is possible to identify slow instances.
During aggregation for the JSON profile, we can use a map with instance name as the key and count the number of times a particular instance comes last.
There is a need to define and refine which ones would be the slow instance, but this is the general idea.
