Svelte and Typescript for Javascript
If there is to be a rewrite of the code, it might be worth looking at
TypeScript and Svelte.

I came across these being used in Byrdle [1] (fun if you are into
words and music).

I've heard good things about Typescript, and Svelte looks neat (and MIT
