Newbie: How do you get from DOMResult to Document?

As in my previous email, l am a newbie to xml and xslt. Therefore,
please forgive me if my question is bordering on the simple side.#

What is the most efficient way to transform a DOMResult into a Document
object?

This has presently got me stumped.

[By the way, l resolved my previous problem with getting Xerces to
parse the inbound document.]
