[jira] [Created] (INFRA-5802) Private archives wrong for graduated
podlings
Craig L Russell created INFRA-5802:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Private archives wrong for graduated podlings
Key: INFRA-5802
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-5802
Project: Infrastructure
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: public (Regular issues)
Components: Mail Archives
Reporter: Craig L Russell
Once a podling graduates, the archive landing page for the project should reflect its top level status.
For example, flex graduated recently. On the page https://mail-search.apache.org/members/private-arch/ there are two entries for flex: flex-private and incubator-flex-private.
If you navigate from flex-private, you land on https://mail-search.apache.org/members/private-arch/flex-private/, which has incorrect information, e.g.: writing to the list flex-private@incubator.apache.org. This page has the archives from when it was in the incubator (good) plus the current top level archives. So the only thing wrong with this page is the list information.
If you navigate from incubator-flex-private, you land on https://mail-search.apache.org/members/private-arch/incubator-flex-private/, which has the archives from when flex was a podling, and no recent archives. It contains list information that is stale, because although the links might still work, the better information would reflect its top level status. In fact, there is no need for either the link incubator-flex-private or the page https://mail-search.apache.org/members/private-arch/incubator-flex-private/.
